Little Bear

So I realized that I don't have many pics of my black lab Buca!
(Technically she isn't mine per say, she is my boyfriends but lets be honest... shes mine!)

She is the prettiest English Black Lab and she is a huge brat!
She is 8 years old (I cannot even believe it, because she acts like shes still a pup)

She is such a diva, but I love her so so much :)
Here's some pics of my little bear <3

and here she was as a BABY! melts my heart :)

I'm in love <3

Summer salad

I love mixing and adding new things to my salads to make them different.
Sometimes salads can get very boring, so mixing it up is always a fun way to spice up your salad and make it a delicious meal.

This specific salad I kind of mixed two of my favorite salads and made them into one.
Southwest salad and my strawberry, walnut, blue cheese salad I love.

For this salad I used:
romaine and chicory lettuce (that I grew in my backyard.. cant get more local then that!)
grilled corn
a few chopped walnuts
blue cheese crumbles
avocado slices

You can mix and match any add-ins you want for your salad. Play around with flavors, you would be surprised with what tastes delicious! Also you can use any dressing of your choice, tonight I used sesame ginger soy dressing, but again it is totally up to you what you like!

This is a really great light lunch or dinner that is perfect summer meal.
Enjoy! :)

Fruit Infused Coconut Water

I am a huge fan of coconut water.
I just like the plain original kind, it is really good for you and has many health benefits.
It is nutrient rich, low in cals, and fat free.

Sometimes I like to infuse some different flavors into my water to make it even tastier!
My favorite is lime infused and orange infused. But you can add any fruit you want, strawberries, lemon, blueberries. Whatever is your favorite fruit!

All you do is take your favorite fruit and squeeze and infuse it in the coconut water.. the longer it sits the more infused it gets. (However with orange and lemon you cant let it sit too long because the white rind part will make the water bitter if left too long)

Cayman Islands

Cayman Islands is a really awesome island.
I had so much fun and enjoyed it a lot, even without the sun!
It is completely surrounded by a coral reef around the whole island which helps protect homes and beaches because the waves break on the reef way out instead of right on the shore.
The best decision we made on the trip was renting a car and touring the island. You get to see so much more then you would see if you just hit the typical tourist spots. You get to see local stuff and it is a totally different experience from the tourist hot spots.

I have about 700 pictures that I took (Way to many to bore you with) so here are a couple highlights from the trip!

If you ever get the chance to visit Cayman Islands, go!
It really is a beautiful and historical island that you wont regret going to.

I'm back!

Hi everyone! I am back from Cayman Islands!
It was really beautiful and fun. Unfortunately, it did rain the majority of our trip but we did have  a couple days of sun and still lots to do! We rented a car and toured the entire island!
Pics and new posts will be up soon! :)
